According to New York Post, Portman’s two-bedroom unit in the Richard Meier-designed, glass tower at 165 Charles Street in the West Village features a dining room that can be converted into a third bedroom, three full baths and views in three directions.

    20 Pine

    Armani/Casa was commissioned by Leviev Boymelgreen to decorate its conversion of the former office building at 20 Pine Street . 20 Pine Street is the 35-story building surrounded by several of Lower Manhattan's greatest buildings such as 120 and 140 Broadway, 33 Maiden Lane, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 14 Wall Street, 40 Wall Street, and One Chase Manhattan Plaza. At 20 Pine Street, which has been rechristened "20 Pine, The Collection," amenities will include a 33-foot-high lobby and an adjacent Library Lounge, a pool and spa with a Turkish Hamman and a landscaped terrace on the 25th floor. Apartments on the 25th through the 35th floors will be known as the Concierge Residences and will be served by a dedicated elevator and private Concierge Lounge that will serve a daily gourmet breakfast and be operated by Quintessentially, a concierge service based in London.

    Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic

    The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic will mark the return of Polo to Manhattan in over 70 years. Ralph Lauren's team, Blackwatch (including Nacho Figueras), is playing against Asprey team. A Veuve Clicquot champagne bar will be open field-side during the event. Picnics are allowed around the field for this event which is open to the public (free ferries run from Manhattan to Gov Island every 30 mins)


    - The Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic will take place on Governors Island (Sat 31 May) - match starts at 3pm

    Jason Pomeranc’s new hotel, the Thompson LES, is set to open in April. As Jason Pomeranc sees it, after you check into your $3,500 per night room, you can head to the pool to admire the 36-foot pool with a giant photographic mural of Andy Warhol , W Magazine reports. “It will be an extraordinary visual point on the Lower East Side,” Pomeranc says. “Many of the young, brave artists of today [in the neighborhood] are disciples of a generation that was created by Andy.”

    The Plaza Re-Opens

    New York City's Plaza Hotel has re-opened its doors, after a $400 million facelift restored the 100-year-old building.

    The 282 guest rooms starting at $700 a night are fully booked for the next several weeks, said Shane Krige, the Plaza's general manager. "Everybody has been calling, anticipating the date of the opening," he said.

    Daniel Radcliffe buys $4 million penthouse in New York

    Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe, has purchased luxury Manhattan apartment for $4.3 million. Radcliffe has put the property on the rental market, for $20,000-USD-a-month. The 1,843 sq ft fifth-floor apartment is in a 13-storey, glass-walled condominium building in SoHo, designed by architect Jean Nouvel. The unit has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and floor to ceiling windows. The 40-unit building features a 50-foot swimming pool, a steam room and concierge services.
