 Audi revealed plans to put a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 diesel in its Q7 sport/utility vehicle reports AutoWeekThe Q7 V12 TDI goes on sale in mid-2007. The engine is essentially two of Audi’s existing 3.0-liter V6 units mounted together on a common crankshaft.  Designed and developed at the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, this prototype is set to become a true brand icon, evoking the great sports car tradition of which the name is part. The term 'Competizione' , is a tribute to the 6C 2500 Competizione, the sports coupé driven by Fangio and Zanardi in the famous Mille Miglia race in 1950. The concept brings V-8 power and rear-wheel drive back to Alfa. With the return of rear-wheel drive the 4.2-liter supercharged V-8 will have somewhere to put its 400 or more horsepower.
