the leaf light is designed by yves behar for herman miller. the leaf light is the newest advancement in LED (light emitting diode) lighting. wowing crowds and taking home the gold award in lighting at the neocon show in chicago, the leaf is the next step in lighting. giving the user a variety of options such as intensity and color, leaf light can help set a mood or a location. this table light was created after 3 years of work to minimize material use and complexity but still maximize light options.
the vertical blade of the leaf light extends and is capable of swivelling while it supports a matching horizontal blade. the range of motion allows the user to have an intense light or an ambient light. also has a dimmer.
while lighting usually produces intense heat, the leaf stays cool through its revolutionary heat distribution system. the LED's use less than 12 watts of power and use 40% less energy that a compact flourescent light. its lifespan is over 60,000 hours at full power.
