Designed for the home, but offering levels of quality such that the most demanding recording and mastering studios in the world choose to use them. Abbey Road Studios in London and Skywalker Sound in California both use Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series.

The already un-rivalled levels of performance are boosted by the implementation of Bowers & Wilkins’ famous diamond tweeter technology throughout the whole range, including the new 805 Diamond, a speaker that brings diamond tweeters into the range of more discerning listeners than ever before.

Further major advances in audio-critical areas provide the entire range with a dramatic leap forward in terms of audio quality compared to the outgoing 800 Series. The diamond dome tweeter is now a quad-magnet design, which increases efficiency and improves the dynamic range of the top-end performance. A new surround material aids dispersion characteristics, and provides a more stable stereo image while increasing openness.

At the other end of the tonal scale, bass performance has also improved with the introduction of a new dual magnet motor system, which utilises powerful neodymium magnets. This innovative design improves the linearity of the bass drivers’ performance, therefore reducing harmonic distortion.

Serious work has also gone into the small details that combine to make a loudspeaker special. New Bowers & Wilkins-designed oxygen-free-copper speaker terminals and links ensure the signal quality into the speaker is the best possible. All models’ crossovers feature a new design of capacitor using a unique silver, gold and oil construction. This component, chosen subjectively by Bowers & Wilkins engineers, in itself provides a dramatic increase in sound quality.

Elsewhere, proprietary Bowers & Wilkins technologies such as Kevlar® FSTTM mid-range drivers, NautilusTM tube-loaded tweeters, Matrix enclosures and the unique sphere/tube heads on the two largest speakers in the range, remain as acoustically valid as ever.

LAVISH THE ONE YOU LOVE IN LUXURY THIS VALENTINE’S - Bokks London

Make Valentine’s Day the ultimate experience for the one you love with BOKKS London , the luxury gifting service that curates a selection of gifts from some of
the world’s leading luxury brands, elegantly wrapped and delivered as part of an
amazing spectacle, anywhere in the UK.

Rather than going to several shops, BOKKS London will do all the work for you, taking
the stress out of Valentine’s Day. From the oldest vintage champagne of 1825 to the first vintage of the new millennium in 2002, the book details the striking, delicate, and pleasurable relationship between art and vintage. Each legendary vintage is presented in association with the main artistic trends of the period, a summary of women's lifestyles of the day, a history of the house of Perrier-Jouët during the year, and notes on the wine and harvests of the season. Each chapter includes a rich variety of illustrations, as well as exclusive artistic photographs of each vintage.

Perrier Jouët - Makiko Takehara

To celebrate the release of Belle Epoque 2002, Japanese art photographer Makiko Takehara has interpreted 20 legendary Perrier-Jouët vintages, from the oldest in Champagne, the PJ 1825, to the first of the new millennium.

Her compositions provide a uniquely artistic perspective of each vintage, turning champagne into a work of art.

The works of Makiko Takehera include interpretations of Victor Hugo, Man Ray, Dan Flavin, Ettore Sottsass, Pedro Almodovar, Alexander Calder…

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Extreme LAB 2

During its whole history of 177 years, Jaeger-LeCoultre has dedicated itself to pushing precision and reliability to the highest possible levels in horology. First of all, through its mechanism which is driven by infinitely small successive changes in temperature. And secondly through its style, which has brought it majestically and serenely through the decades for over 80 years. Only the oscillations of its annular balance and the regular dance of its hands serve as sutble reminders that the time is still turning. Two new creations sublimate the spirit of a collection with an almost perpetual mechanism that remains an impressive technical feat to this day. One is a re-edition of a 1930s clock, and the other a contemporary piece in Baccarat crystal designed by Marc Newson. Toys and games are preludes to serious ideas." Eames inspiration combined with Herman Miller innovation prompted this year's Select release: a collection of three wooden tops, each with an original sculptural profile, each crafted of exquisite walnut. Herman Miller is giving away a set of Select Walnut Spinning tops as part of their contest.

So Herman Miller wants to know, what inspires you? Do you have an office toy collection? A collection of classic lunch boxes in your kitchen? A crate of vintage vinyl 45s? Send a picture of your collection, include a one or two-sentence description with it, and email it to: tops@hermanmiller.com. Make sure to put "contest" in the subject line and send your submission before December 14th to be entered to win a set of the Herman Miller Select Walnut Spinning Tops.

For complete contest rules visit: http://select.hermanmiller.com/contest/
Become a fan of the Herman Miller Facebook Page at: http://www.facebook.com/HermanMiller
Follow Herman Miller on Twitter: http://twitter.com/hermanmiller
